thoughts, words, and blurbs:
I’m mainly looking for pen pals for either letters or postcards. Whatever else is coolness, too. I’m 33 and happily married. I like books, zines, rooibos tea, Green Bay Packers football, traveling, crossword puzzles, comics, old buildings, sweets, street art, old cemeteries, music, Alice in Wonderland, Japanese kawaii stationery, stickers, Hello Kitty, Snoopy, Japanese maneki neko (lucky cats)…and that’s all I can think of off the top of my head right now. :)

thoughts, words, and blurbs:
Hi! My name’s Laura, I’m 21 and I live in London. I like to craft, I spend most evenings cross stitching or embroidering? and I’m learning how to knit. I also like to read and make zines. I’m interested in feminism and sometimes run a clubnight that raises money for women’s charities. I like to cycle and just bought myself a lovely new bike. I’m also into d.i.y, indie/grrrl music, literature, writing, veggie baking and going to gigs. Also really into tattoos and body mods.

I’m looking for a female penpal, aged between 18-24-ish who is into the same kind of things as me, interested in making things and the d.i.y ethic.

I’d like to write pretty long letters, and love to read them too. I also like to make things to swap in my letters. Any kind of trades are good, zines, patterns, fabrics…

thoughts, words, and blurbs:
I play harp. I study linguistics. I make a perzine called “Retell Your Rumors” and have a soft spot in my heart for all the artists out there who keep it small, keep it personal, and keep it independent. I also dig oil paints, nonviolent radicalism, mail art, performance art, mimes, fluxus, both Vladimirs (Nabokov & Mayakovsky), comics, journalling, punk music, collage, handwritten letters, and so much more…

I love frogs, ATC’s (making and receiving), the ocean, the color green, old photographs, scrapbooking ephemera, anything related to writing and music. I would love to receive anything like that, or anything you find interesting that you want to send. I’m a writer, so I love to see what inspires other people. I will try my best to send something back to you in a timely manner.

thoughts, words, and blurbs:
Hi :)
my name is Bianca. I am 19 and I live in Newcastle, Australia. I’m taking a break from study at the moment and occupying myself only with creative pursuits! Letter writing, drawing, singing and zine making.

I’d love any any mail that isn’t bills (unless you can make a bill into a pretty postcard).

I like sending and receiving mail, good black ink pens, drinking through a straw, zines, stationery, things to look forward to, envelopes, cats, typography, Morrissey, contagious laughter, Scrabble, British accents, Pop Tarts, red lipstick, pay day, curls, pushing buttons, stretching, old movies about the future, The Mighty Boosh, accordions, even numbers, mail-tag, raisin toast, 50% off, realistic dreams, everything Tim Minchin ever said, crosswords, good conversation, naming strangers, Amelie, cinnamon, using semi-colons; and perpetually surfing the net.

I love this idea from Jeffrey Yamaguchi’s ’52 Projects’:

“Get a regular-sized envelope. Address it to someone special. Then, stuff it with as many things as you can: a letter, photographs, torn out magazine articles or newspaper clippings, photocopies of poems, a short story or passages from a novel, recipes, artwork, poems or stories you’ve written…Anything that can be folded up and put in the envelope. Make sure to stuff it so full that you need to use tape to keep it sealed. This envelope should have serious heft. Once it is sealed, get the proper postage put on it (definitely use stamps) and mail it off.”
