I am a married lady, 47 years on this planet, a working professional with no children and a gal who loves life and has a romantic and creative bend.
I pursue Knowledge and Beauty and find it’s everywhere.
Here’s what enriches my life (in no special order): photography and Photoshop, classical music, scrapbooking, poetry, good literature, history, single-malt Scotch, hand-embroidery and quilting, my diary, museums and all performing/visual arts, nature, fine cooking, my dog Mia, my huge, rescue cat Kitty Amongus, my husband of seventeen years and my wonderful, 92 year-young mother (who, along with my dad, remain my heroes!).
What would I like in my mail box? Interesting postcards of all sorts, maybe a hand-made card, a CD (either music or good quality graphics/photos), fabric swatches I could use in my quilts, a poem, a rubber stamp, a book or magazine (particularly foreign or old ones) … anything that allows for creative expression (mine or yours), anything that says something about you, your little corner of the world, or an interest we have in common … a short note or a longer letter, however the Muse inspires you – it’d all good!
If you give me your address, I’ll send you something back. If I can read your profile, it may even be something you’ll love!

Back when postcardx was running I recieved a really small card that amused me when I initially read it. The author simply told me of the whether and wished me a ‘fascinating, remarkable day. And if you (I) are not, (to) remember that emotions are transient, and this, too, shall pass’.

This card then helped save me through the darkest year of my life.

There’s something so incredibly humbling about recieving hope, advice or even a call for help from a stranger. It returns us to humanity and restores a global sense of community.
