what i do…
trade! i love to trade things. if i can put a stamp on it, i’ll send it.
i make a zine called WHIP which is a collection of poetry and short stories (with the occasional photograph of excellent drawing) from people who are often told ‘poetry isn’t proper’ or ‘writing is for wankers’ and i think that these people deserve their writing to be heard.
i collect ephemera, make drawings, sew, knit, write poems, study classics.
what i like (the condensed version)…
the idea of living in new york one day, the idea of doing a creative writing masters, the idea of getting published. cardgames, packs of cards, mugs with kittens on them, the maifesto i’m writing about how it’s really good to wear just black and white. i like being pretentious and lying in bed and drinking rum and cephalopods. and dave eggers and sylvia plath and acting like a teenager even though i’m not quite a teenager anymore. i like good design.
what i would like to trade…
i would like to trade or recieve anything. almost anything. crafts and poems and ephemera and questions and photographs. manifestos and zines. and DIY and show-and-tell and anything from horror to romance and fiction to non-fiction. sincerity! and jokes. material and shoelaces and recipes and pages torn from books. oh and letters. letters! i love to get letters. and postcards! and poems. i’ll critique yours if you’ll critique mine.

i write a perzine called bad habits. it’s a mix of poetry, travel stories and rants with a healthy dose of doodles & photos.
i love to trade zines amongst other things like mixtapes, patches, stickers or whatever your creative little hands can let go of.
i’m kind of a scummy travel punk who is always haveing inner moral conflict about the kinds of people i hang around with during the summer months when i’m on the road. i’m teaching myself about herbal medicine through books & zines so if you come across any zines about plants send them my way. i like a lot of different kinds of music but mainly listen too folk and punk. i’m trying to learn how to play guitar but failing pretty hard right now. i learned how to play dirty old town today. i dumpster almost everything you can think of. i love trash! i kind of live a crimethink lifestyle but i kind of think crimethink is dumb. if you write me back i’ll write back it just might take me awhile depending on how close i am to my mail box.
